THE TINY BLACK PANTHER
COMES TO BRITTANY
Was Bagheera, Black Queen from the Jungle Book, shrunk by magic to become this tiny feline goddess who purrs in the palms of your hands, warming your soul with the soft glow of her large and loving copper eyes?
Indeed, when you meet BOMBAY, you feel like adding a touch of Magic or Fantasy to the legend of its origins. The truth is just as charming, because BOMBAY was born from a dream. The dream of a American breeder, Nikki Horner, who devoted her breeding art to the realisation of her dream, giving life to the wonderful animal. Close relative of the BURMESE and the BLACK AMERICAN SHORTHAIR, the BOMBAY thus became of breed of its own, recognized as such by the Cat Fancy. In the World of Black Cats, he is a true Prince, because he does deserve his noble appelation of "tiny black panther"
The small panther, with its supernatural beauty, appears as if she just sprang out of a fairy tale... Her coat: black as night.... Her eyes: so burning, like too beacons piercing the darkness... The graceful nature that turns its every moves into dancing poetry... The tiny panther is beautiful, and aware of her beauty, that she enhances when she assumes poises worthy of an Egygtian Goddess, not out of vanity, but just to give us joy.
Because, the Bombay is not only beautiful, his soul is beautiful. By nature, he is so lively, playful and friendly, that he looks like a cartoon character when he performs his antics. He loves the companionship of his humans, takes interest in everything they do, invites them to share his moments of amusement and tenderness. He readily accept other animals in the house, and uses of his every charms to get new friends. Because the tiny black panther knows how to appear small in a house, while occupying a huge place in the hearts of its inhabitants.
The Bombay only arrived in France in the early 90's, and quickly he conquered the highest honours in cat fancy. In 1998, the first couple of Bombays, Nosferatu and Madaya, arrived in Brittany. They live happy days in Morbihan, and they gave birth to wonderful children, who in turn became parents. Maybe, one day, one of their offspring will make you discover the joy of living with a Bombay.
